CATS Review: October 14, 2013 (non-existant) US Tour
Apparently this wasn’t an official tour? Though it looks like it was the same company from before. The troika people? Google kept telling me there wasn’t a CATS Tour in 2013. So I guess I saw it in the twilight zone? O_o
I searched google however for NC and found this page from the Raleigh Memorial Center that lists CATS in 2013.
2013 Cats Review
I just got back from seeing CATS and I’m so excited and hyped up! It was so AMAZING (as always). I had another Mistoffelees I could watch that didn’t hurt my ears! I was so excited that I didn’t have to leave or cover my ears.
This guy managed 32 for the conjuring turns. The audience was counting and clapping with him.
Tumble was such a cut up and I think Pouncivial disappeared during the production. I lost sight of him and he never reappeared. I hope he was ok.
Tugger was amazing and I was so relieved. He had a bit of the John Partridge to him but in his own way.
Direct quote from past me: He reminded me a lot of the sex god. (John Partridge, duh.)
Bomba bothered me through out the entire musical. She kept hitting on Munkustrap. Everyone knows Demeter and Munk are together. I kept wanting to get up there and swat her away. Like hands off Demeter’s man.
Looks like Cass and Misto went down yet again in the pile. Past me had a huge paragraph bitching about it. XD Apparently Misto and Electra were all over each other and I wasn’t “worried” and then out of no where Cassandra came over and the two of them went down.
This Mistoffelees was more remincent of the OG Mistoffelees. He creeped me out and I wasn’t too sure of him. He looked scary and mean, not as nice as my favorite Misto. Previous Misto’s his costumes resembled more of Jacob Brent, this time It was sharper and darker.
I’m not afraid to admit that Timothy Scott scares me so bad. If this guy hadn’t warmed up a little bit I wanted to leave. And I’ve never wanted to leave CATS before.
(Guess he very seriously weirded me out.. I’m not usually like that.)
I thankfully warmed up to him, but I was disappointed he didn’t cut up a lot. He did fall asleep and fell over twice while doing it, that was funny, but otherwise he was calm and didn’t cause trouble. By his song I was in love with his Mistoffelees and was excited to see him dance.
Skimbleshanks was just amazing as always. He’s one of my favorite all time cats on stage because it’s not easy to mess up the song and it’s always right.
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were so good as well. Our Rumple was adorable and so cute. I just loved her to pieces.
